Technology Investment
We believe that one cannot invest enough in a stable trading platform. As a result of this philosophy, we have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into Dell Servers and Cisco Network equipment. For portection in the event of a catastrophic failure on a primary server, every trader will get two logins on two different servers. Financial Stability
Clear Chicago Group, LLC. is a Futures Commission Merchant ("FCM"), registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission ("CFTC") and is also a member of the National Futures Association ("NFA"). Clear Chicago Group is also a member of the Intercontinental Exchange ("ICE") as a participant and is a member of Eurex ("Eurex"). Due to the strict daily financial reporting requirements, substantial net capital requirements to hold customer funds on deposit and the vigorous audits performed by the NFA, your funds on deposit with a United States FCM are well protected. In addition, you can read the Trading Commission's interpretation letter regarding FCMs and the treatment of customer funds compared to SIPC for securities.
Clear Chicago Group’s History
Clear Chicago Group was founded in April 2002 by Jack E. Earnest, Jr. to address the needs of the active trader population in their migration to trading futures. Later that year, the proprietary trading operation was launched and became a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange from 2002-2004.
Technology Based
In 1992, to further the development of trading tools, Mr. Earnest founded CSI.NET, Inc., a software development company with several diverse products for the high volume trader. CSI.NET’s MTRADE platform became one of the top trading platforms developed exclusively by traders/for traders in the trading industry. CSI.NET’s software platform was used exclusively by several of the largest trading firms, including Hold Brothers (formerly Online Investments, Inc.), and Momentum Securities, Inc. In 1999, CSI.NET’s equity trading platforms were sold to Tradescape.com and were acquired by ETRADE under the name of E-Trade Professional.
The inherent lack of technology in the futures industry was a major hurtle for Mr. Earnest to overcome in order to satisfy an equity trading community that was used to highly advanced trading systems. His goal was and is to build an FCM based on technology that would satisfy even the most demanding traders. As a result, Clear Chicago Group is and will continue to be on the cutting edge of futures trading systems technology.
